Swords Bible Study Seniors Ministry
The Swords Bible Study Seniors' Ministry seeks to provide fellowship through which our church seniors can grow daily in God's love through His Word.
Our Aim:
To be Students of the Word;
To Walk in God’s favor;
To Obey God’s Commandments;
To Rest in God’s presence;
To Desire to grow in Godly Wisdom;
To Share God’s Love to our families, friends, communities, and our church.
Activities
Our Bible Study and Fellowship meets in the church fellowship hall on the second Saturday of each month. This year, our Bible study will focus on Ten Godly Leadership Essentials by Andrew Wommack.
Our Ministry's regular activities include:
As receiving a card in the mailbox is still a “happy time”, we strive to keep in touch with our members using the “Oldies” form of mailing cards for special occasions.
Visitation of the homebound and those recuperating.
Senior trips are provided along with games and fun time.
Prayer Crosses are placed in local area locations.
Heart Felt Craft Ministry
The SWORDS Bible Study/Fellowship is a proud sponsor of the outreach – Heart Felt Crafts Ministry that has provided crocheted and other crafts for retired ministers and/or spouses that are housed on the Church of God Campground in Mauldin, SC. Our ministry has also provided crocheted lapghans for Veterans during the Veterans’ luncheon and for widows and widowers in our church family church.
