Rev. Steven Barfield
Pastor
Reverend Steven Barfield was born and raised in The Myrtle Beach/Conway area. He Graduated from Socastee High School in 1995 and then from Lee University (Cleveland, TN) in 2000 with a BS in Christian Education. Rev. Barfield currently resides in Conway with his wife, Christian; and children, Bryson & Emaline.
Christian Barfield
First Lady/ Women's ministry director
Christian Barfield was raised in a Christian home, the granddaughter of a Church of God Pastor. She spent much of her teen years living in the Grandstrand area, graduating from Georgetown High School in 2006. She earned her B.A. in Christian Counseling from Liberty University and is currently pursuing her M.A. in the same field through Liberty. She spent much of her adult life working in youth and children's ministries. In her role as First Lady of the church, she directs the Women's Ministry. She has a heart for seeing hurting peopled healed through Jesus Christ.
Allen C. York, Ph.D

Dr. Allen C. York is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Following a distinguished twenty-year career in the U.S. Army, Dr. York earned his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. He is an assistant professor of history with Liberty University, the world's largest Christian institution of higher learning. He has served as the Church Clerk for five years, managing the church finances, assisting the Pastor in church administration, and teaching Bible study classes.
Keli Herring
Youth Director, grades K-5
Born in Conway, SC, Keli D Herring is a graduate of Socastee High School. She earned her Business Degree from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in 2004. Keli was raised in the Church of God and continues a family tradition of service to the Lord started by her grandmother and mother. Keli has served in Kids Ministry for over ten years. She finds the best part about working in Kids Ministry is seeing former kids now working and helping in the church. She treasures loving on every child that comes into her classroom.
Kyle and Meagan Williams
Youth Directors, grades 6-12
Kyle and Meagan Williams have served as the River of Life Youth Pastors since September of 2022. They are originally from small towns near Cleveland, Ohio. Kyle and Meagan spent most of their Sundays at North Ridgeville Church of God being led under Reverend Wayne Black, Meagan's grandfather, which is where they first met. Kyle was very active in the youth group during his teen years which is what first sparked his fire for youth ministry. In 2009, Kyle and Meagan moved to North Carolina for Kyle's assignment with the United States Marine Corps. In 2020 they brought their family to the Myrtle Beach area and started attending River of Life Church of God. They reside in Conway with their two sons, Cameron and Parker, and their black lab Lucy.
Darlyn Adams
Senior Ministry Director
Darlyn Adams is the daughter of Rev. Fred and Edith Young Barfield, pioneers in the Church of God as organizers and planters of several churches in South Carolina. She earned her B.A. from the University of South Carolina, her M.A. from Webster University, and her Doctor of Theology from Christian Life School of Theology, Georgia. Born and raised in Pentacostal Holiness, Darlyn has worked in many areas of the church. She currently serves as the Senior Adult Ministry Director and teaches Bible studies classes.
Abigail Barfield
Praise and Worship Director
Abigail Barfield has attended and been a member of ROL her entire life. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Music Education at Coastal Carolina University in hopes of teaching the future generation.
Justin Barfield

Justin Barfield has been with River of Life since its inception. He has held the roles of Youth Pastor, and Assistant Pastor. Currently, he serves as Production Manager overseeing sound, video, lighting, filming and broadcasting for services and events.
