Our Story
On June 27, 1999, River of Life Church of God was organized with the humble beginning of 65 members in a double-wide trailer. We worshipped and grew for nearly ten years until, through God's blessings and the faith and dedication of many volunteers and benefactors, we built and moved to our current campus on January 18, 2009.
Our church was birthed through the vision and under the leadership of Reverend Sherrod Barfield who shepherded River of Life with great success and a servant’s heart until his passing in 2018.
After Reverend Sherrod Barfield’s death, his son, Steven, took up his mantle and accepted the position as Senior Pastor.
